Now this is not my usual type of book at all, however I decided that I wanted to introduce my son to a classic novel and I thought that this might be a good one to start with. I had not read this book either so it would also tick it off my classic novel list.

I have to say that I was rather disappointed with it. There were some good parts, but on the whole it dragged on and there was no sign of treasure. I kept going and waited for something exciting to happen, but nothing ever did. I am not sure what I was expecting, but at the very least I wanted to see some treasure!

There were some good characters in it and the settings were good, I just wanted more Island and more treasure!

I therefore gave it a rating of 2. Maybe when my son is older and can read for himself, he will reread it and enjoy it, but I will not be reading it again.

Rated 2/5
