💭THOUGHTS💭
I have been looking forward to reading one of my Kindle Halloween books, and I decided to chose this one as my first witch book of the Halloween season.
I loved it! It had me gripped me from the beginning with the main character’s humour and optimism. I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next! It had everything you could want in a Halloween book; darkness, mystery, magic and humour. Whilst it wasn’t particularly dark, there was the odd bit which kept my interest.
I loved the main character with her relaxed and cheerful persona, despite everything that had happened in her life and still continued to happen. She made the story enjoyable and made light of the serious things that were happening around, and to, her.
The settings were lovely and, for me, homely. I live in Kent so I was able to relate to the setting. It was nice to have a story based near to where I live!
I would definitely recommend this as a light, Halloween season, read.
