What Thrillers should I read to get me in the mood for Halloween?

In my opinion not all books to get you in the mood for Halloween need to be Horror (I personally stay away from this genre as I prefer to sleep at night!), sometimes a Thriller will do! So here are my Thriller suggestions:

Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh

An excellent book, really well written. I thought I knew who the killer was but I was wrong. I liked the way that each character had a chapter which gave the reader an insight into what was happening for that character at the time.

Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

My review on Goodreads:

This was a book that I had stored on my Kindle for a long time. I bought it purely because I enjoyed Gone Girl, but then sort of forgot about it. It was an emotional read and at times I wasn’t sure that I would be able to carry on, but the story and intrigue kept me going. The characters were well written and scarily believable. I kept changing my mind as to who the murderer was. Whilst it was certainly an experience to read I wouldn’t rush to read it again.

Sign of the Cross by Glenn Cooper

I hadn’t read a Glenn Cooper book in a while so I decided to do a search at the library and found this book. I was not disappointed. It was well written and had me gripped from the beginning. There were a lot of historical references and myths blended into the story which I enjoyed. There was something happening all the time which kept my interest. Overall an exciting read that I would recommend.

I saw this book around and waited ages for it to become available from the library. It didn’t disappoint. I really enjoyed the way that it was written. It was so different to anything I have read before. I loved the way that you didn’t even know who was murdered, let alone who the murderer was! I was gripped from the beginning and throughout the book was not only trying to work out who done it, but who it was done to! All the characters had shady pasts which made it that much harder! An excellent read that I would highly recommend.

The Guest List by Lucy Foley

I absolutely loved this book! I couldn’t put it down. I loved the way it was written and how the reader doesn’t even know who has been murdered let alone who the murderer is! I also loved the setting. It really helped with the spooky atmosphere. Everything kept you guessing until the end which is what kept my interest. I can’t wait for the next book!
