It’s Top Ten Tuesday! Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, this weeks Top 10 is Memorable Things Characters Have Said (quotes from book characters that have stuck with you).
I have to say that I really struggled this week as I enjoy a book then move on to the next one. There are very few quotes that have stuck with me so I have had to do a bit of research and pick quotes out of some of my favourite books!

“To the stars who listen and the dreams that are answered” – Rhys in A Court Of Mist And Fury by Sarah J Maas.
This is my favourite quote of the year. It has really stuck with me for some reason. I even did a post dedicated to it (What is your favourite book quote?).
“And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…” he murmured. I looked away, hiding my eyes as I thrilled to the word. “What a stupid lamb,” I sighed. “What a sick, masochistic lion.” – Edward and Bella in Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
I have always loved Twilight and even though I felt this relationship was a bit over the top I still remember this quote (made more memorable by the film).
“You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think” Christopher Robin in Winnie The Pooh by A A Milne
I just love this quote. I have a little plaque with it on and it always makes me feel better.
“So long, and thanks for all the fish.” From the Dolphins in A Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy by Douglas Adams
For some reason this quote has always stayed with me since watching the film. I watched the film first before reading this book earlier in the year.
“Meddy, how can you say that? Your aunties coming over, so late at night, coming to help us get rid of body, and we don’t even offer them any food? How can? Oh, we have dragon fruit, good, good.” – Dial A For Aunties by Jesse Sutanto
The whole book was funny from beginning to end. This is just one of many quotes!
“Just because you’ve got the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn’t mean we all have,” said Hermione nastily, picking up her quill again.” – Hermione to Ron in Harry Potter and The Order of The Phoenix by JK Rowling
I love Ron and Hermione’s relationship and this was a particular moment that made me laugh.
“No good sittin’ worryin’ abou’ it. What’s comin’ will come, an’ we’ll meet it when it does.” Rubeus Hagrid, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by JK Rowling
I love this quote and think that it is very true! I am one of life’s worriers so I should read this quote more often!
“When in doubt, go to the library.” Ron Weasley, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by JK Rowling
Need I say more?!
“We should always make time for the things we like. If we don’t, we might forget how to be happy.” The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
I loved this book. Whenever I see anyone asking what book would I recommend this is my go to one. It was a lovely read and there are a number of quotes from this book that we should all take note of!
“It’s the little things, I expect. Little treasures we find without knowing their origin. And they come when we least expect them. It’s beautiful, when you think about it.” The House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune
I had to end with another quote from The House in the Cerulean Sea! If I could quote the whole book I would!
I hope you enjoyed my chosen quotes. Happy Tuesday!

I love Hermione! I quoted her today as well. And that Pooh quote is just the best, isn’t it?
Happy TTT!

Hermione is great isn’t she and her relationship with Ron is brilliant.
The Winnie The Pooh quote is just so lovely and comforting when you feel down.

Every time I see that Hagrid quote I’m reminded how I SHOULD remind myself of it! Great list, from a fellow worrier 🙂

Thank you. It is so much easier said than done! I worry about the most ridiculous things!

And it’s very hard to turn the worry off, no matter how ridiculous! I 100% relate. 🤕

It really is and at night it is the worst! ❤

I definitely find this! Being tired and having no one to talk you down isn’t helpful. 😅

Exactly! In the morning I talk about it and it seems ridiculous 🤣

If only we could remember that the night before 😅

To be fair there aren’t many books that I’ve been disappointed by. I could probably name 4/5 maybe 🤔 and if a book doesn’t do it then there is always TV to immerse myself in 🤣😂

You’ve had some great bookish luck there! And if all fails… there’s always screen adaptations of books. 😅

I know! Haha. The Netflix series of Bridgerton was better than the first book…

Ooh, that’s interesting! I binged the series and got the first two books straight after, but I haven’t read them yet–nervous about the differences, haha!

Nothing to worry about. You just expect something to happen and it never does. The second book is so much better. I would definitely re read it if I have the time!

It’s good to know at least that the second is worth getting to!

Yeah. I don’t regret reading the first one, it was just a bit of a let down when compared to the Netflix series. I’m glad that it didn’t make me not read the second one though!

On the bright side, you must’ve really enjoyed the Netflix series, and be looking forward to season 2!

Definitely. Nothing will take away my joy of reading the second book though – I hope 🤣😂
