Goodreads Top 5 Wednesday – Books Worth The Hype

Welcome to Top 5 Wednesday! Hosted by Goodreads T5W group this week it is Books Worth The Hype. Here is a list of 5 books that lived up to their popularity (in my opinion!):

Harry Potter series by J K Rowling

This is such a popular series that it has exploded and diversified into films, merchandise, a Studio Tour, Theme Parks and games (plus everything else I have forgotten to mention!). I personally absolutely love this series and used to get the next book out as a late birthday present from book 4 onwards!

Book Review – The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood

I wasn’t really a fan of romances, but I decided to give them a chance and when I saw that this book was (and still is to some extent!) all over Instagram I decided to give it a go. I loved it and have read many more romance novels since!

Book Review – The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

I had seen this a while ago, but with mixed reviews I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it. I am glad that I took the plunge as I absolutely loved it!

Book Review – The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman

I like Richard Osman and was curious as to see what his writing would be like. I was not disappointed. I loved this book and the second one. I have already pre-ordered the third one!

Book Review – A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas

I got this book for my friend for her birthday. She really enjoyed it and lent it to me to read. I really enjoyed it then didn’t think any more about it. It wasn’t until many months later that I saw that there were more books in the series and that people were absolutely loving them. I decided to jump on the band wagon and am so glad that I did. My favourite book of the series is the second one, A Court of Mist and Fury.

Definitely worth the hype is all I can say! I randomly got it for my friend for her birthday and she said it was really good so lent it to me to read. I enjoyed it then didn’t take it further until I saw how popular it was and that the library had copies!
