*I am currently away on holiday so I will catch up on comments on my return*
Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop! Hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer this week the prompt is:
Have you ever switched reading genres? If so, why? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)
For me, yes I have. I was never into Chick Lit or Romance. It just didn’t have the same excitement for me as a Mystery/Crime/Thriller. I then didn’t make time for reading for many years. When I got back to it I started reading more Chick Lit and Romance for a bit of light reading.
I try my best to read a wide range of material these days, but Chick Lit and Romance still seem to dominate!
What about you?

I read so many genres, it is hard to even answer this question. I have always been an eclectic reader.

I like to try and mix genres up as I tend to go towards Thrillers, until more recently when I have been drawn to Romances.

It’s mostly cozies for me, but I also read non-fiction. I hope you’re enjoying your vacation! 🙂

For me not to get bored, I constantly jump from one genre to another. There is no guarantee of what genre I am going to read next, so I can go from historical to magical realism to mystery to romance to literary in just a matter of books. It makes the journey more interesting I guess. 🙂 Happy reading!

That does sound good. I try to mix up genres, but still mainly go for either a Thriller or a Romance!

I keep thinking I should branch out more. And I do sometimes branch out to other genre’s, but not enough.

I set myself genre goals each month and as long as I read at least one book from each genre I am happy!

Chick lit is one I always come back to but I read pretty much anything. Haven’t read much crime/thriller lately I’m realising so I might poke that later this year

I never used to read Chick Lit, but do like it as a sort of break between Thrillers! I love a Thriller!
