Monday Night Reading

This evening was an interrupted one with my son coming back downstairs to wear himself out a bit more before being taken up to bed, but I still managed to get in a decent amount of reading.

I started off the evening with Circe by Madeline Miller. I really want to finish it as it isn’t really me. I don’t know what it is, but it’s not holding my interest. I am so near the end that it is silly to give up now (92%). I am hoping for it to be finished either tomorrow or Wednesday. Tomorrow we are busy so I am not sure how much reading time I will get, so it is looking like Wednesday.

I have managed to read another 50 pages of Quarter to Midnight by Karen Rose. I worked out that if I read 50 pages each night then I will get it read in 12 days. I am currently on page 206 (6 pages ahead!) so should get it done in 8ish days from now (hopefully sooner if I keep ahead!). I am enjoying it despite setting myself a daily target!

I finished off the evening reading some of my buddy read The Christie Affair by Nina De Gramont. I am enjoying the perspective that it is told from, especially as it seems to be from the mistress. There is definitely a story there that I am excited to find out more about!

I hope that you have had a good evening. Tomorrow it’s Top Ten Tuesday and First Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday.
