Book Blogger Hop – Have you ever reread a book? If so, why did you decide to reread it?

Welcome to the Book Blogger Hop! Hosted by Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer this week the prompt is:

Have you ever reread a book? If so, why did you decide to reread it? (submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer)

Other than when I was a child and had my parents read the same books over and over again (as children do), I have only ever re read one book. I tried to re read another one this year, but I have so many other books to read that I had to give up.

The book that I re read was Flambards by K.M. Peyton. It was one of my favourite books when I was younger. I went through a phase of reading ‘pony/horse’ books and loved this one.

What about you?

I haven’t re-read a book in a while, but I used to re-read books fairly often. And when I do, I usually learn something new about the characters. When I love a book, I like to re-read it for comfort. Like wearing a comfortable sweater or pair of jeans.

I have a swedish Middle Grade book series I re read from time to time. It´s about 2 sisters who is taken from their parents during WW2 and taken to a small island outside of Gothenburg in Sweden and you get to follow them along on the journey. Getting a new family, learning the language, having dreams, crushes etc but still being halfway in their mind with their parents. It´s an great series and I think they have translated it into english as well called A Faraway Island by Annika Thor if you are curious.

That does sound like an interesting read. I don’t read many translated works so need to read more. Since doing Blog Tours I have read a few – Finnish and Japanese – which were interesting.

I totally get why some readers/bloggers don’t reread. There are soooo many books out there just waiting to be read. And, when you request a lot of ARCs or participate in a lot of blog tours, it makes rereading very hard. Thanks for commenting on my post. Sorry it took me a day to return the favor.

I have reread the Twilight Saga so many times. I am sure there are other books that I have reread but that is all I can think of at the moment. There are so many that I would love to reread but like you I have so many on my shelf, my kindle and on my tbr list that I just don’t have time to reread books. Have a great week!
