WWW Wednesday – Currently Reading, Finished Reading, Reading Next

It’s W W W Wednesday! Hosted by Sam @ Taking on a World of Words, here are my 3 Ws (Currently Reading, Just Finished Reading and Future Reading):

What I am currently reading:

The Agathas by Kathleen Glasgow and Liz Lawson (click for link to Goodreads)

This is my current Library Book.

Book Description From Goodreads:

“Welcome to Castle Cove — a town cursed with missing girls,
bad boyfriends, family secrets,
and some very steep cliffs.

Last summer, Alice Ogilvie’s basketball-star boyfriend, Steve, dumped her. Then she disappeared for five days. Where she went and what happened to her is the biggest mystery in Castle Cove. Or at least it was. Because now, another one of Steve’s girlfriends has vanished: Brooke Donovan, Alice’s ex-best friend. And it doesn’t look like Brooke will be coming back …

Enter Iris Adams, Alice’s tutor. Iris has her own reasons for wanting to disappear, though unlike Alice, she doesn’t have the money or the means. That could be changed by the hefty reward Brooke’s family is offering. The police are convinced Steve is the culprit, but Alice isn’t so sure, and with Iris on her side, she just might be able to prove her theory.

Luckily, Alice has exactly what they need to crack the case — the complete works of Agatha Christie. If there’s anyone who can teach the girls how to solve a mystery, it’s the master herself. But the town of Castle Cove holds many secrets, and Alice and Iris have no idea how much danger they’re about to walk into …”

The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman (click for link to Goodreads)

My current Kindle Book.

Book Description From Goodreads:

Irene must be at the top of her game or she’ll be off the case – permanently…

Irene is a professional spy for the mysterious Library, which harvests fiction from different realities. And along with her enigmatic assistant Kai, she’s posted to an alternative London. Their mission – to retrieve a dangerous book. But when they arrive, it’s already been stolen. London’s underground factions seem prepared to fight to the very death to find her book.

Adding to the jeopardy, this world is chaos-infested – the laws of nature bent to allow supernatural creatures and unpredictable magic. Irene’s new assistant is also hiding secrets of his own.

Soon, she’s up to her eyebrows in a heady mix of danger, clues and secret societies. Yet failure is not an option – the nature of reality itself is at stake.”

Someone to Kiss by Jamie Anderson (click for link to Goodreads)

I am on the Blog Tour for this book on 21 November so keep your eyes peeled for my review on here, Amazon, Goodreads, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

I have started this one now because I have quite a lot of Blog Tours coming up in October and November. It was a last minute sign up, but I couldn’t resist!

Book Description From Goodreads:

A Hilarious and Heartening Take on the Pitfalls of Modern Dating.

As the clock strikes midnight over a disastrous New Year’s Eve and happy couples celebrate all around her, Kate makes a resolution, hastily scrawled on the back of a napkin, that next New Year’s Eve she will have found someone of her own to kiss.

But when you’re a forty-something cat-mom who’d rather binge Netflix than brave the singles scene, finding someone to kiss turns out to be harder than it sounds. Kate is totally unprepared for navigating hook-up apps, speed-dating, and sliding into somebody’s DMs.

With the end of the year rapidly approaching, Kate seems further than ever from reaching her goal. As relationships crumble around her and dark long-kept secrets spill out, could Kate’s fixation on her quest cause her to let true love slip through her fingers forever?”

What I have finished reading:

The Witches of Moonshyne Manor by Bianca Marais (click for link to Goodreads)

I am on the Blog Tour for this book on 30 September so keep your eyes peeled for my review on here, Amazon, Goodreads, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

What I am reading next:

What Child Is This? by Bonnie Macbird (click for link to Goodreads)

Book Description From Goodreads:

“It’s the season of peace and goodwill, but a Victorian Christmas is no holiday for the world’s most popular detective in this new book from Bonnie MacBird, author of the bestselling Sherlock Holmes novel Art in the Blood.

It’s Christmastime in London, and Sherlock Holmes takes on two cases. The angelic three-year-old child of a wealthy couple is the target of a vicious kidnapper, and a country aristocrat worries that his handsome, favourite son has mysteriously vanished from his London pied à terre. Holmes and Watson, aided by the colourful Heffie O’Malley, slip slide in the ice to ensure a merry Christmas is had by nearly everybody…”

I am on the Blog Tour for this book on 18 October, but as I have a few Blog Tours going on I thought that I would make a start on it when I finish my Library Book.

I have never done a blog tour, I am always sure I will manage to mess up the dates somehow. I admire your organization!

I have added nearly all of the books on this list to my TBR and I will be watching for all the tours and reviews. They all look amazing.

I’ve had it for a while. It is fairly good so far. I got a bit confused when it started to talk about all the different worlds and defining what chaos meant in terms of those worlds, but I have decided to just accept the words and move on!

      Thank you. You too 😊
