I personally prefer voracious reader. The nerd in book nerd just sounds negative.

I don’t mind being referred to as a Bookworm. Other languages express it differently; Library Mouse in Romanian, Ink Drinker in French, Reading Horse in Danish (click here for more!)

Book Blogger Hop – Do you watch film adaptations of books before reading them?

I don’t actively do this. I often find out that the film is based on a book after I have watched it, sometimes years after! I then make a note to read the book, but then life happens and I forget all about it until someone mentions it. Even then I don’t always get round to reading it!

No I haven’t. I have had links that don’t work, but I managed to fix that and I have accidentally posted things instead of scheduling them (but again that was easily fixed and it wasn’t the end of the world). I think that the worst thing that could happen to me is if a Blog Tour Review doesn’t go up. So far that hasn’t happened and fingers crossed it never does!

No. I try not to overload my shelves. I have a lot of shelves though so my books are nicely spread out on them around the house. IKEA is very handy for book storage solutions!

I don’t on my Blog. I am in a couple of reading groups on Facebook where I post my reviews and also comment on other people’s posts. If people ask for reading suggestions and I have read a book that fits with their criteria then I will suggest that. I don’t often suggest an author though.

I never used to be. There were many years where I didn’t read, due to homework then coming home late from work and not having the inclination to read. Since I have taken reading back up I do feel lost if I don’t have a book or two on the go. I like to have at least one physical book and one ebook on my phone. The ebook on my phone is useful for if I am out and about (such as waiting in the car whilst my partner quickly pops into a shop to buy something or if I am waiting to collect my son from school).

I have so many books on my shelves that I haven’t read (roughly 148), a load of ebooks on my Kindle that I have downloaded and haven’t read, plus a library that is a 15 minute walk away that I don’t think that I will ever not have a book to read!

I wish that I could say that I have never skipped ahead to the ending, but that would be lying! I used to do it more when I was younger. Now the only time I end up doing it is when I flip to the back of the book to see how many pages it has and I accidentally see something that ruins the story. I do my best to keep my eyes overted but…

Other than when I was a child and had my parents read the same books over and over again (as children do), I have only ever re read one book. I tried to re read another one this year, but I have so many other books to read that I had to give up.

The book that I re read was Flambards by K.M. Peyton. It was one of my favourite books when I was younger. I went through a phase of reading ‘pony/horse’ books and loved this one.

I have to say that I get taken in by every character, they are all so unique and interesting in their own ways. If I have to choose then I like a nice character who helps others and that they get their happy ending at the end! Boring I know…

I will be honest and say that I have never heard of it. I have done a quick Google search and seen the front page. It looks like an interesting site. I have an android phone, so would be able to use the app.

I will probably stick to Goodreads though because I have spent a lot of time scanning in all my books in and making some wonderful lists so it seems a bit pointless to start again. I also have a Bookstagram Account, A TikTok account (I don’t understand TikTok so don’t actually use it), a Goodreads account and I have joined a number of Facebook reading groups, so really I don’t think I need to add anything else – I won’t have time to do any actual reading!
