What else has been happening this week:

Basically it has been appointments for both me and my son so it has been very busy! It is now half term so both my son and partner will be home next week. As usual my son is unwell so this will limit what we can do. My partner also wants to do things to the house so we shall see what happens!

What else has been happening this week:

It was my son’s first Staff Development Day on Friday which meant that as a student he had a day off. To keep him entertained my parents and I took him to the beach! Yes, it was very cold, and everything except the fish and chip shop and amusement arcade was closed because it was off season, but it was a great day out! We wrapped up warm and wore wellies so that we could paddle in the sea! Saturday my son and I had our hair cut (I also had mine coloured!) as it hadn’t been done since July (?) so needed doing. Today we will be going bird watching at a local winery near us that allows you to walk around the vineyard, orchard and woodland, for our son’s homework.

What else has been happening this week:

A quiet week this week. We went shopping on Saturday (we were on the way to the zoo, stopped off for lunch then realised that we had to book tickets in advance. There were none left so we looked round the surrounding area and booked tickets for the next day instead). Today is zoo day!

Not much as my son has managed to catch another cold and spread it to me and my partner. We did go round my parent’s house for dinner on Friday and had my dad round for dinner on Saturday. Sunday may be a day of rest, it depends on how my son feels about that!!

What else has been happening this week:

My son (and partner who is a teacher) went back to school on Tuesday after a lovely Christmas break. I haven’t been up to much during the week – trying to get used to no one being around during the day again! Yesterday we went shopping and then went to my partner’s parents house and ended up staying for dinner. Today we don’t have any specific plans, but hopefully we will do something!

As it has been Christmas week we have been seeing lots of different family members. Luckily we all live fairly near each other and those of us that live further away came down. We have had a lovely time and been spoilt with presents and food!!

What else has been happening this week:

SNOW! We only had it for one night, but as it has been so cold it hasn’t melted and has turned into ice. It is very dangerous out there. We aren’t prepared for this sort of weather! My son even had two days off school and even when we returned it wasn’t entirely safe.

This week was my son’s last week before the Christmas holidays so on Wednesday we got to see his nativity. He was the lamb (one of three). After school on Thursday we went to a Garden Centre that does amazing Christmas decorations. It took us a long time to get there and back due to the adverse weather conditions, but we had a nice chocolate whilst we were there and enjoyed the Christmas! This weekend we went shopping and today I (with my partner and son!) am meeting up with a friend.

What else has been happening this week:

Basically nothing, I have caught yet another cold, so even my reading has taken a hit. I have been mainly watching TV as that is all I can “concentrate” on. My mum came round on Thursday after picking me up to collect my son from school (we normally walk home from school, but my son loves Granddad’s car so we treated him!). Saturday we went shopping as I thought that I needed to get out, but I came home feeling my illest yet. Today we are round my partner’s parents house for lunch, but I have been assured that all I be required to do is sit there and be unwell!

What else has been happening this week:

On Tuesday I went with my parents back to the Ashford Outlet to take back some shoes that claimed to be waterproof, but after walking my son to and from school in the rain (not even hard rain) they leaked. The shop was very good about it and let us swap them for some different ones. Friday I went into school with my son to do some reading with him and then went to a Math’s drop in session where I could ask questions. The weekend came and the cold that my son was battling earlier in the week had been successfully transferred to me. I then went to London for my sister’s 30th birthday celebration feeling very sorry for myself. Today will be spent chilling.

What else has been happening this week:

My son has been well all week! Finally it has happened! Monday I was at home, Tuesday I went Christmas shopping with my mum to the local town, Wednesday was quiet at home, Thursday I went Christmas shopping with my partner’s mum and Friday I went into school in the morning to read with my son and then in the afternoon I went back in early to see some of his work that he had been doing on London. This weekend we are baking some Christmas cupcakes (and making our Christmas wishes!) and getting the Christmas decorations up as it is the last weekend before the Elves arrive on 1 December!
