Top Ten Tuesday -Non-book Freebie – Holiday Destinations

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, this week it is Non-book Freebie (choose your own topic that’s not related to books! This could be hobbies, TV shows/movies, bands/singers, food items/recipes, top ten things about you, your top ten favorite things, places you’ve visited, favorite fashion designers, etc. Take this time to let your readers get to know you a little!).

I have decided to do a list of holiday trips that I have been on. Not in any particular order as I have been to some great places (plus these are the only photos that I could get hold of fairly easily!)

Iceland

Venice

Florence

Paris

Kefalonia

Southern France

Dublin (specifically The National Library, not that we were able to go in)

Wales

Isle of Man (technically this is The Calf Of Man taken from The Isle of Man)

Bath

Have you been to any of these places?

What else has been happening this week:

We have finally had cooler weather and some rain! It has been excellent! We have also had a pretty busy week, going out most days.

On Monday we went to the Children’s Centre then on to Hastings. It was my son’s 4th birthday so we thought that we would take him to the Seaside and to the Aquarium. He loved being in the Sea, but not the Aquarium so much, no idea why. On Tuesday we went to Rochester for some lunch, a look round the Cathedral and some window shopping (including a couple of bookshops!). Wednesday we went to Aylesford Priory and had a look around where the Order of Carmelites used to live. Thursday we went to Maidstone Museum. On Friday we went to Tunbridge Wells to buy some bits for my son’s first homework (!!). On Saturday we went to IKEA and bought some bits for the house – we always need more storage solutions! Today we are going to stay near home and visit my partner’s parents (who live a 10 min walk away!)

*I am currently away on holiday so will catch up on comments on my return*

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, this week it is Books Set In a Place I’d Love to Visit (real places or fictional). I love a bit of travel (and am currently away on holiday) so this is an exciting prompt this week! Here is my top 10:

PARIS

Library Book Review for Paris In July – Paris For One and Other Stories by Jojo Moyes

I love going to Paris and have been there a number of times. It never gets old!

AUSTRALIA

Random Things Tours – Book Review – The Bay by Allie Reynolds

I want to go to Australia at least once, just to experience it!

SPAIN

Random Things Tours – Book Review – Retreat to the Spanish Sun by Jo Thomas

I love Spain, but haven’t been in years. The night markets by the beach are the best!

JAPAN

PORTUGAL

Random Things Tours – Book Review – It Only Takes A Minute by Sasha Lane

There is a bookshop called Livraria Lello that I want to visit as it is said that it inspired Hogwarts. I know that it is quite a way to visit a bookshop, but it looks amazing!

ASHFORD, CONNECTICUT

Book Review – The Bookshop on the Corner by Rebecca Raisin

I want to visit this fictional little village to see this shop and The Gingerbread Cafe!

FINLAND

Random Things Blog Tour – Book Review – The Rabbit Factor by Antti Tuomainen

I want to go to Lapland specifically over Christmas… I think that would be amazing!

THIOS

Random Things Blog Tour – Book Review – Sparks and Shadow by Ceara Nobles

I want to visit this fairyland (accessed through a Portal from Seattle) as it sounds cute.

COPENHAGEN

Book Review – The Little Cafe in Copenhagen by Julie Caplin

After reading this book, I just wanted to go there and see it for myself. It was beautifully written about.

Where do you want to travel to?
