Welcome to Friday 56! Hosted by Freda’s Voice, you turn to page 56 or 56% in any book or reading device and pick a sentence that grabs you.
My Book of the Week is You Had Me At Halloumi by Ginger Jones (click for link to Goodreads)
“You are allowed to be happy. Your mum would want you to be happy. You deserve to be happy.”
This is a part of the book when the main character, Freya, is thinking about her mum who is in a home because of her schizophrenia. Freya has come away to Cyprus to do this competition and she feels guilty about her mum. This quote is Freya thinking about what her school teacher would say to her.
I am currently 71% though this book and am really enjoying the sights and food of Cyprus!

This sounds like a fun book. Even though I have too many already, I’ll be adding this to my TBR.
