Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, this week it is Books I Love That Were Written Over 10 Years Ago. This was a hard one in terms of picking just 10! There are so many books that I love that are over 10 years old.

My mum randomly got it for me when I was younger and into reading her childhood pony books. I loved it. I’ve never read the next books though as I believe them to be quite emotional 🀣

A lot of people are talking about Clockwork Angel, and it’s so hard to believe it’s already been around for 10 years! Did the sequels/ series really take that long?! Same goes for P&P and Zombies…

That’s funny! I agree maybe the originals can be tough. I thought I’d LOVE Sense and sensibility since I love the Emma Thompson adaptation, but I didn’t get very far lol. I may try again

Yes, the essense of the stories are great! I thought it might be the language of the time, but when you read a Bronte it’s completely different.

Deathg Comes To Pemberley and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies both looked good to me, but I haven’t read them yet. For someone who hasn’t read a ton of Austen I do seem to be drawn to Austen spin offs sometimes!

Haha the originals can be hard going in my opinion. I love the essence of the stories and love the retellings. over lockdown I did a free online Austen course and honestly liking retellings was a bit of a no no πŸ˜‚ everyone was friendly about it but you knew when you had struck a nerve πŸ˜‚
