The Soho Jazz Murders by Anna Sayburn Lane
Book Description From Goodreads:
“Jazz, dancing, nightclubs and drug gangs…
It’s January 1923 and London feels dreary. So Marjorie and Mrs Jameson are keen to meet the American Ambassador’s niece, a genuine 1920s flapper with a love of jazz, dancing and fun.
But a night out at Soho’s famous Harlequin Club comes to a fatal finish. Soon Marjorie is working undercover as a dance hostess to unmask the drugs gangs that threaten the West End. It’s a perilous occupation – and the deaths are not over yet.
The Soho Jazz Murders is the second in the 1920s murder mystery series, featuring the irresistible apprentice detective Marjorie Swallow.”
I bought this book with some birthday money as I have read the first one in the series and am on the Blog Tour for the third book in the series on 9 July.

I like the sound of The Soho Jazz Murders: there’s not a lot of HF set in the 1920s, though I’ve run into some baseball murder mysteries in that era.

It does seem to be a neglected era for some reason. I am looking forward to reading this second one in the series ☺️

Appealing cover on The Soho Jazz Murders. Good to know this series is worth pursuing.
Not sure if Pasta Sam is meant to be a spoof but I do love brownies! In fact, I am softening butter right now for a brownie muffin recipe I downloaded from the New York Times.

It is an eye catching cover! I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series ☺️
Pasta Sam is aimed at children to teach them to cook. It is a children’s story blended together with instructions on how to bake. It is a sweet idea. My review is due on 31 May ☺️ I did actually make the brownies with my son and they were tasty ☺️
A brownie muffin recipe sounds yummy!
