What else has been happening this week:

This week has been pretty packed once again. On Monday there was a Children’s/Youth event at a park near us. There were games to play and bouncy castle obstacle courses etc to keep my son amused. It was all free which was a nice surprise (although we did pay for an ice cream!). Tuesday we went to Cobtree Manor Country Park with my partner’s mum, Wednesday we went to Kearnsey Abby and Russell Gardens with my mum, step dad and step gran, Thursday we went to Bloomsbury’s for lunch (again with my mum, step dad and step gran (who has been visiting my step dad as she lives in Norfolk)) and Friday we went to Bluewater for a bit of shopping then went on to a swimming pool. We haven’t been swimming in years. This was only the second time that my son has been swimming. He loved it! This weekend has been a quiet one as my partner has been round his parent’s house helping to build a shed.

You had quite an eventful week! Thanks for the lovely pics you shared with us today.

I think your buddy read review for The Christie Affair is a great idea. Different perspectives does bring new perspectives for sure.

I haven’t read Norse Mythology yet, but it is still on my TBR. Will hopefully get to it somewhere!

    Have a good week ahead.

So busy! I like it though. Getting things in before school starts!

I enjoyed the buddy read. The next one will be next summer due to everyone’s busy schedules!

It’s not a bad book and not too long either.

Have a great weekend and week ahead too!

I’m interested in mythology, so I’m pretty sure I’d like the Norse Mythology book by Neil Gaiman, too.

You always go on such fun adventures. I’m glad you got to go swimming. Swimming is something I have done almost every day this summer. I’m going to miss it so much when it gets cold.

It was interesting and the little stories were quite individual.

We try to make the holidays interesting – especially since Covid and the fact that my son will be starting school so we need to get out and about.

Swimming feels like such a faff, but actually it was ok. I had taken my son once before the pandemic and then I get a bit worried about catching Covid. Just got to suck it up. By my son’s age I was already quite proficient at swimming.

Hopefully it will stay warm for a while so that you can get more swimming in 🙂

I know. I just don’t know where the years have gone. Well I know where 2 of them have gone…

Thank you. He is a very cheeky chap! Yes! I just happened upon it when I was looking at Mythology stuff on the library app.

I want to see Season 2 of Good Omens on TV!
