Top Ten Tuesday – Bookish Jobs

Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, this week’s prompt is Bookish Jobs I Would Do For Free (Real or Imaginary) (Submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ bout Books). I have decided to slightly alter this prompt and highlight books where the character works, or is involved with, books in some capacity (click the title for my review of the book).

📚That Festive Feeling by Heidi Swain – main character is an illustrator for Children’s books.

📚 Summer Wedding by Sarah Morgan – main character’s mum (and bride) is a romance author.

📚 Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Faeries by Heather Fawcett – main character is writing an Encyclopedia.

📚 A Bookshop Christmas by Rachel Burton – a story involving the family bookshop.

📚 The Cornish Cream Tea Bookshop by Cressida McLaughlin – main character gets a job in a bookshop.

📚 Havana Fever by Leonardo Padura – main character deals in antique books.

📚 Witch Way To Murder and Mayhem by Jane Hinchey – main character buys a bookshop.

📚 Good Taste by Caroline Scott – main character researches and writes a food book.

📚 The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman – main character works for The Invisible Library.

📚 The Woman In The Library by Sulari Gentill – a woman is murdered in a library and the characters have to work out who did it and why.

I didn’t realise how many book related books I have actually read! What books would be on your list?

Happy TTT!

Illustrating always seems like a fun thing to me, and anytime I see someone do something creative with paint or drawing I always wish I’d learned how to draw. It seems like it’d be a fun AND relaxing hobby. 🙂 Thanks so much for visiting my website today.
