Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday! Hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, this week’s prompt is
Petty Reasons You’ve DNF’d a Book (Or reduced its rating. You don’t even have to say what the book was if you don’t want to! DNF means “did not finish”.)
I have only DNF one book. I have started books and have yet to finish them, but I haven’t taken the decision to DNF them. I also don’t think that I can think of 10 reasons as to why I would reduce a book’s rating, so I’ve decided to tweak the prompt a bit to Books/Series That I Didn’t Want To End.
There are so many books/series that I have loved and didn’t want to end, so in no particular order here are a few of my favourites (click the titles for my review):
Book Review – The 13th Assassin by Frank Malley (series)
Book Review – Dial A For Aunties by Jesse Sutanto (series)
Book Review – Origin by Dan Brown (Robert Langdon series – I am hoping for more books to come!)
Harry Potter series
Library Book Review – Hotel Magnifique by Emily J Taylor
Library Book Review – Secrets of the Mummy Concierge by Tiffany Norris
Random Things Tours – Book Review – Lucie Yi Is Not A Romantic by Lauren Ho
Blog Tour – Book Review – Finding Mr Perfectly Fine by Tasneem Abdur-Rashid
Random Things Blog Tour – In The Lives of Puppets by TJ Klune
The Night In Question by Susan Fletcher (review due tomorrow!)
What books/series would be on your list?

“book”, “read”, “book blog”, “new”, “don’t miss out”, “fiction”, “reading slump”, “entertaining”, “what should I read next”, “book recommendations”, “book review”, “what books do you recommend”
This is a nice twist. 🙂

I agree with Harry Potter, I would still love a book about the founding of Hogwarts or Marauders, Newt’s movies could have also been a book

Yes to all of those! I reckon they would have all been popular!

I have that first book by Jesse, and think it sounds fun. But I haven’t given it a chance yet. We’ll see if I finally do. 😉 And I hear you on not being able to come up with a lengthy list of DNF reasons. That’s a struggle for me too… though I usually think of more reasons after I publish. Thanks for visiting my website today!

I recommend Dial A For Aunties all the time when people ask for a light, fun, laugh out loud book.
Yeah, and then I read everyone else’s and I completely agree!!
That’s ok. Thank you for visiting mine 😊

This is a nice, positive alternate prompt! I feel the same way about the HP series. I’d sort of forgotten about the Robert Langdon series, honestly, but I really enjoyed it. I’d definitely read more of those books.
Happy TTT!

Thank you. I find it too hard to DNF a book 😂 the only one I did was a collection of short stories from the same Author and I had no idea what was going on in any of them, so I finished the story I was on and didn’t read the rest.
I think the last Langdon one was 2018? I can’t remember there being any after that one. I only remember that one as it was the year my eldest son was born 😂
Happy TTT!

Oh I didn’t know Dial A for Aunties was part of a series! I thought they were all standalone for some reason.

Yeah, you can read them on their own, but they are better together 😊

I’ve heard a lot of good things about TJ Klune’s books. Glad you enjoyed these series so much.

You’ve got so many great books on this list, as usual! Some of these are series that I’ve read and loved, and I’ve got a few on my TBR. I actually won a copy of Lucie Yi Is Not a Romantic, but haven’t gotten around to reading it yet – maybe I should work on reading it sooner rather than later!
